    From Mary Brooks Gilmore;

    I did this morning by sending it to my two brothers & sister. Gene hears from the Jeffery Mother at Christmas because they were neighbors up on High Bridge Rd. for a number of years. He had a nice note from her this year that the shared with all of us. Am pretty sure the Utter family up there are on Facebook, will make sure Lois and her husband do see this about the wheelchair and ask Gene to make sure Clyde see it too, although he was busy helping with the Mt Upton site too so no doubt he already knows about it.
    Hope you are having a good winter Bill, it has been a much more normal one for us, after a couple quite mild ones I like it really:) but have kept very busy, have alot of files to get in some order, am writing an article for a Historical publication where our Dad grew up, getting that together is taking more time than I thought it would:) But that’s the way it happens always……

    Just an status update for you all about my husband Bill’s wheelchair. We continue to work with the ins. Company but initially they turned down our request for a new Wheel chair for Bill. To clarify, The chair will cost nearly 6,000 in total. Our part will be the deductible we are required to pay which about half of that. We have enough in the wheelchair fund to pay for our deductible…the insurance company just needs to remember that folks that are paraplegic really do have a necessity for a wheelchair. Good thing we are patient…we will continue to keep you posted

    I wanted to say a heartfelt thank-you to all who gave so generously to my wheelchair fund. I took delivery of my new wheelchair the first week of October 2014. It is great to have a wheelchair that I don’t have to worry about failing me. It has worked flawlessly making it so much easier to load and unload into my van at my job as a mental health counselor at Catholic Charities of Chenango County in Norwich and everywhere else I go. The fund is still at the bank waiting for the health insurance company to finally get around to paying the company I got the chair from so I can find out what my out-of-pocket expenses will be. You all are so very much appreciated for your kindness and generosity.
